Ned to get clarification on reported demise of Custom Rodder magazine.  While surfing the web, came across an item that said the magazine was going to be no more.  Please tell us this is not true.  Hope to see this mag around for many years to come.

I just hope this is not a trend of loosing interest in rods and customs of all types. I am so tired of every place you look the rice burner mags seem to out number the good old American classics. I have a '54 chevy post leadsled and a mild custom '63 Comet 2 dr hardtop and really enjoy driving them and my son of 15 likes the sound and look. It's these kind of magazines that have given me some great ideas

I have been building rod & customs since '74 and still enjoy it as much or even more than I used too. I like reading about what guys and now even gals build. So many think you have to go big bucks but a little elbow grease and a small sand blaster on those used parts can save you a ton. Don't get me wrong I still like the expensive ones too, but there is just something about the old back yard mechanic and making the parts yourself, if you can, thats makes the ride a little more special.

Yeah, I really get a sense of acclomplishment when I take something almost ready for the bone yard and can give it a new lease on life. A lot of them I buy redo then sell but I do keep a bunch of photos of them. It cool to go thru the photos at times because when you want to customize something you can run into a roadblock, senior moment or what ever and a photo of something can revive an idea of what to do. Well TTFN catch you later

I know the feeling, Its just like when you do a repair to your house with your own two hands, it makes you feel really good cuz you created it and did it. I currently dont have any project cars unfortunatly but i am on the look out for one. Hopefully something comes up soon.

Yeah sometimes it seems like you will never find the one that fits what you are looking for and then all of a sudden in the least expected place you find it. I have a problem with being patient when on the prowl for a new project but I have found not to settle for a that's good enough type. I have the bigeest problem with wiring the odd cars like my '63 comet. Going from a generator to an alternator is not bad but try and hook up the spark control and other parts is a real challenge. Good luck on finding what you are looking for .

Yea no joke, finding projects that just scream out you are hard to find sometimes.
