I told Josh last night about what I sent to you yesterday and now he thinks that may be for sure the way to go for this summer. He is talking about ghost flames in the primer too. He said this way he can practice painting and doing flames and such. I am happy he wants to try because at one time he said he did not want to even learn how to paint the glossy stufflet alone flame or graffics.
The wife said that I was right about getting the 54 done because she wants to start driving it as soon as the weather permits. It really is not too bad on gas with the 6 cylinder in it. It usually gets about 20 - 22 miles per gal. and for that heavy of a car that's not bad at all, at least I don't think so. I think I may be able to improve that by putting headers on it instead of running just a split manifold. I guess the only way to find out for sure is to try it.

Well im glad to hear Josh likes our idea of leaving it primer. I think the truck will look good in primer, with some ghost flames. Thats great that he is going to get practice, hes taking after his old man haha.

Haha im sure she agreed that you better get the 54 done. Im sure its going to get good mileage. I wish i had something that was good on gas haha.

By the way, thanks for the email this morning! it gave me a good laugh.

I'm glad you liked those pictures I thought they were cool.
My wife is now wanting to look into some wheels for the 54. I'm not real sure what route to go. It has steel wheels with clamour rings and 54 center hubs but she wants something with more chrome. The car does not have a lot of chrome on it, the bumpers are turned over and painted body color. I don't want traditional craiger 5 spoke but then I not sure so I guess I'll have to go to Summit and check out what they have. I live 45 minutes away from the Summit store in Tallmadge.
My wife hates when I go there because I'm like a kid in a candy shop. I guess I can drool a bit.

You are probably right at least she is not asking for diamond although the price is about the same. I am happy to do it for her because I still like the chrome on cars myself. I look at some old adds for cars and even the cheapest ones looked expesive with all that chrome but those days are gone for good I'm afraid but I have noticed some do have more than they have had for a few years. What can I say I like bling on cars to a tasteful limit.

Haha Oh I'm sure shes going to ask for a diamond at some point... They always do, Heck  My girlfriend always drops hints about one

Chrome does look good in moderation. Way too much bling is not a good thing. I think the car would look good with chrome wheels

Oh boy she is already hint toward the diamond commitment, that's great if you are of the same mind.
You had made mention about gas mileage not so good on your vehicle, what do you drive? How bad is gas prices out there? I heard that the truckers are planning a stopage on on the 1st but I'll be surprised if they have enough that do it. I remember in the mid 70's that is what it took for the prices to come down then. I hate the thought of the poor gas mileage the Comet willget but for all the more it will be driven I guess I can handle it. The funny part is that going to a movie and dinner would still more than likely cost more then driving the Comet to a show and do a little crusin.

Haha yea we have talked about it, We have been together for a long time. I have known here for 4 years now. Its pretty crazy how time flies once you find someone your happy with.

I drive a Honda now, Which my gas is much better. I used to drive a lifted Chevy Silverado which was killer. Gas is pretty expensive still.  I paid 3.59 the other day. it cost me 45 bucks just to fill up my little honda. It was nuts.

haha yea its gonna cost you enough on gas just to get there in the comet.

I'm only going to be pumping out about 425 horse but I'm sure that will keep the mileage in the 11 to 12 mpg if I'm lucky. I can imagine how the Silverado must have been on gas wow. The price is between 3.15 - 3.25 here. I have a 2 wheel drive Ford 150 and it breaks the bank when I fill the 40 gal. tank that is on it. Josh is after me to find him a cheap S-10 or something so he can save the Dodge for weekend playing around. He got a part time job at Game Stop Video so he thinks he will make enough to pay for gas and insurance, we'll see. As long as he is triing to pay I'll help him when he needs aspecialy for crusin on the weekends. i was surprised he got a job things are so tight around here but I happy he did. They repair game units if they are not real bad and the guy who runs the place said he wopuld teach Josh so that's great in my book.

The Silverado was nuts on gas. It used to cost me 80+ dollars to fill er up. It was insane, I had to get rid of it. As much as i loved that truck. I told myself when i have the money ill be getting myself another one.

I had an S10 when i was Josh's age, It was great. It was really nice, It was lowered a few inches on some nice chrome rims, a really good sound system, tinted windows, exhaust. I have been thinking about getting another one.

Game Stops are pretty cool, i do my video game shopping there haha

Josh already has plans of doing what you said your S-10 was like. I thld him he will need to work more to aford the goodies that will take unless we are lucky enough to find one that has a lot of the stuff already done for a cheap price. I have found some nice ones with high mileage but good body that needed very little done but now that I am looking I'll see if we can be that fortunate again.

All is great  I have been so busy Friday I had to pickup another car and by the time I got back it was really late. This was an old 49 Ford two door that had been setting beside an old building for years. My buddy saw it after the building fell in last week. Thank goodness it fell away from the car and not on it. It was hidden by the building and you could not see it from the road but needless to say after the building went down it was being swormed on like flies on road kill. The plates on it are 1962 so the car has been off the road awhile. It has been covered by a canvas so that helped keep it somewhat protected but it is still in need of a lot of work. I haven't had a lot of time to really look it over good but it is all there and pretty solid.
