Not yet but I am going to take some this weekend before I go any farther. I'll put them on so you can see Monday or Tuesday. I am going to put the finished on afterward also. I have some pics of the car when I got it but that was with a standard camera. I don't know if I can put them over on the computer somehow. I would like to and make up a slide show. I'll have to ask my boy if he knows how and if so I'm in business.

Sorry I didn't get back with yesterday but there was an auction at an old dealership that had a bunch of NOS parts. I can't beleave that this stuff had been there since the late 60's. I bot a few goodies. It was an old MOPAR dealer and there was 2 sets of new heads for HEMI 426 and a couple dual quad manifolds, the staggered type still in the boxs. The cool part is not too many showed up so the prices did not go quite thru the roof. The heads sold for $2,000.00 and the intake manifoldes sold for $500.00 each. All the other misc. sold real reasonable. My boy got the pictures and I should have them posted by Thursday

A buddy told me about it, then asked if I wanted to go (like he had to ask). That was one of very few times I had some extra bucks(note HAD). NOw I have some new stuff to set around the garage. One thing I found odd was a new pair of '64 Ford taillamps and I bought them for $1.00 each.I also bought a few things that will look cool in some custome.

Thats pretty cool... Thank god for word of mouth. But of course... he didnt even have to ask, you knew you wanted to go before he even asked
Those lil auctions and things like that are great for finding little things or sometimes you find some good things that are worth a pretty penny!

Yeah it is even amazing what you can find set out at the curb during community cleanup days. I have found a lot a neat stuff for free by just driving around the night before the pickup. I can't beleave what people through out,but I'm glad they do. It's just like looking fr a project if I've seen a car in a garage for a long time then it is put outside under a cover or not for 3 or more weeks the person is usually ready to let it go for any kind of a reasonable offer. I have purchased a lot that way. The other thing to look for is a faded for sale sign, mostly you can bargain the person bown preety easy. The biggest thing is not to give up if they say no but make a reasonable offer and don't offend the guy and if you really want it the biggest % of the time they will give in.

Yea i agree... people throw out some good stuff... its crazy what you see sometimes.
Yea you gotta bargain for sure... sometimes you find the person that just wants to get rid of the car and will bargain with you!
I have been meaning to send those stickers... things have been pretty hectic around here lately but i haven't forgot about you!

I know what you mean, it's been the same with me. This about the only time of the day I have a chance to stop, except for supper (sometimes even that is on the run) to do something other than work. I don;t mind being busy but it would be nice to have a brake here and there. Oh well kay sur raw sur raw or something like that. The one nice thing is when I'm working on one the cars I have time to escape into my own little world, and don't git me wrong I really like work, well you know what I mean. As for the stickers just whenever you have a sec. Thanks.

The wife and I went out and traded the 04 KIA for an 07 Pontia G5 GT last night. The KIA was racking up some miles sooo I went in the hole for another 5 years, but it is a cool car. Now that she is happy I can spend a little more on the other rides. I had a leak in my garage roof that set me back a week but now that I fixed that the Comet shoud be ready to paint Saturday, so there is still hpe that I will put a few miles on it yet this year.

Those are pretty nice cars. what color did you get? You had a leak? is it raining out there?
Are you gonna paint the comet yourself or are you taking it somewhere?

I got Passion Red and it has all the toys. Moon roof power every thing and ground affects. It has been raining off and on for the last week. The last storm we had was nasty and took some of the roofing off. I'm painting the Comet myself. I've painted about 200 overall paint jobs and I have no idea how many touch ups and accent colors. Back in the 80's another guy and I had our own body shop and built rods exclusively. He decided he did not want to do it any more and since it was his garage I was out in the cold until I built one of my own. I used to paint a lot of flake jobs, Flames, and any other kind of custome stuff you can think of. I still have people want me to do flames but the flake stuff has faded away, but now graffics seem to be in big as well as split tones. I never was good with airbrush but I now a guy that is a real artist and he does that part for me when needed.
